- DEBRIDE: Have excess thickened, crumbly or damaged nail material appropriately removed before your appointment. Professional assistance from a podiatrist is recommended when needed.
- CUT: Trim all toenails straight across on the foot or feet being treated.
- CLEAN: Thoroughly clean your toenails and feet before arriving at the spa.
- REMOVE COATINGS: Completely remove all nail polish, gel, acrylics and other nail coatings.
- BRING CLEAN SOCKS: Bring a fresh pair of clean socks to wear immediately after your appointment.
After Your Appointment
- Wear the fresh, clean socks you brought immediately following treatment.
- We disinfect your shoes during your appointment to reduce footwear-related fungal exposure.
- Apply our recommended daily topical solution as directed to all treated nails.
- Keep your feet clean and thoroughly dry, especially between toes and after bathing or exercise.
- Rotate your footwear, allow shoes to dry completely between uses, and consider antifungal shoe sprays.
- Avoid walking barefoot in public damp areas like locker rooms, pools and hotel showers.
Important Pre-Appointment Preparation Notice
Enlighten does not provide nail debridement, trimming or cleaning. All nail preparation must be completed before your appointment.
Please do not aggressively cut, tear or dig into attached living tissue yourself. If your nails are very thick, difficult to trim, or painful, schedule an appointment with a podiatrist for professional debridement prior to your laser session.
