Question 1

How does the Mystic automated spray tanning booth work?

Accepted Answer

Mystic uses advanced automated spray technology to deliver an even, natural-looking tan without UV exposure. During your session, the booth guides you through four automated spray cycles with clear voice instructions. Simply turn and change positions as directed for full-body coverage. No technician applies the spray.

Question 2

Is Mystic Spray Tan private?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely! Your spray tan takes place inside a private automated booth. Once our staff explains the process, you enter the booth and follow its voice instructions. There is no technician standing beside you applying the tanning solution.

Question 3

How long does a Mystic Spray Tan session take?

Accepted Answer

The automated spray application takes just a few minutes. Allow additional time for preparation and instructions, especially during your first visit.

Question 4

Will my spray tan look natural or orange?

Accepted Answer

Mystic tanning solutions are designed to produce a beautiful, natural-looking bronze glow. Your final color depends on your skin tone, the solution selected, and proper preparation and aftercare.

Question 5

How should I prepare for my Mystic Spray Tan?

Accepted Answer

For the best results:

• Exfoliate your skin approximately 24 hours before your appointment.
• Shave or wax in advance, preferably at least 24 hours before tanning.
• Arrive with clean, dry skin, free of lotions, oils, deodorant, perfume, and makeup.
• Wear loose, dark clothing afterward.
• Avoid applying heavy moisturizers immediately before your session.

Proper preparation helps your tan develop more evenly and fade naturally.

Question 6

When can I shower after my spray tan?

Accepted Answer

Your waiting time depends on the tanning solution used. For many traditional DHA spray tanning solutions, the recommended wait is approximately 8 hours before your first shower, but some formulas require different timing.

Our staff will explain the correct showering instructions for your selected Mystic solution. Avoid water, sweating, and excessive moisture during the development period.

Question 7

How long does a Mystic Spray Tan last?

Accepted Answer

A Mystic spray tan commonly lasts approximately 5–7 days, depending on your skin type, preparation, showering habits, and aftercare. Keeping your skin moisturized and avoiding harsh exfoliation can help extend your results.

Question 8

Will the spray tan protect my skin from the sun?

Accepted Answer

No. Spray tanning creates a temporary cosmetic tan without UV exposure, but it does not provide sun protection. Continue using broad-spectrum SPF 30 or higher when outdoors.

Question 9

Can I wear makeup, deodorant, or lotion before my appointment?

Accepted Answer

For the most even results, arrive with clean, exfoliated dry skin. Makeup, deodorant, lotions, and oils may interfere with how the tanning solution develops.

Question 10

Can I choose how dark my spray tan will be?

Accepted Answer

Our team can explain the available Mystic tanning solution options and help you select an appropriate shade based on your desired appearance and skin tone. Your final result also depends on how your skin responds to the solution.

Question 11

How often can I get a Mystic Spray Tan?

Accepted Answer

Many clients refresh their spray tan approximately once a week, depending on how quickly their previous tan fades. For the smoothest results, allow the previous tan to fade and exfoliate appropriately before your next application.

Question 12

Is Mystic Spray Tan safe?

Accepted Answer

Mystic Spray Tan provides a beautiful, natural-looking bronze glow without exposure to UV tanning rays.

The tanning solution contains DHA (dihydroxyacetone), an ingredient permitted by the FDA for external application to the skin.

For your safety and comfort, Enlighten Med SPA & TAN provides:

• Nose filters to help reduce inhalation of tanning mist.
• Protective goggles to help prevent tanning solution from entering your eyes.
• Disposable hair nets to protect your hair during application.

Follow the recommended protective precautions during your session. If you are pregnant or have asthma, respiratory sensitivities, or allergies, consult your healthcare provider before spray tanning.

Our team will explain the automated Mystic tanning process and answer your questions before your session.

Question 13

How can I minimize inhalation of tanning mist during my Mystic Spray Tan?

Accepted Answer

Our Mystic automated spray tanning booth provides clear voice instructions to guide you through each of the four spray cycles.

To minimize exposure to tanning mist:

• Use the provided nose filters and protective goggles.
• Follow the booth's voice instructions throughout your session.
• Avoid deliberately inhaling the spray mist.
• You may briefly hold your breath while the spray passes your face if comfortable, but never to the point of discomfort.

Breathing through your mouth instead of your nose does not prevent inhalation of tanning mist. Breath-holding is not a substitute for appropriate protective measures.

If you have asthma, breathing difficulties, or respiratory sensitivities, consult your healthcare provider before spray tanning.
